Promote Your Book
You've just published and you are thinking it is time for people to read my book, yes? Here are some tips to help you promote your book so that people will buy it.
Take a minute and define your target audience and write a few paragraphs about your readers.
What are your goals. How are you going to reach them and what do you want to accomplish? Write a few paragraphs on this setting your intentions. It helps!
Now that you have some sort of a platform sign up for Pinterist, Google+, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Next you'll want to join a few book communities. Some good ones include Goodreads, Booktalk, Scribed. Post weekly to these sites.
You may want to think about an author website and/or a blog which you actively participate in by picking a topic from your book and writing 300 - 500 words.
Think about contacting local booksellers and set up author signings. Are there local colleges nearby? Think about teaching workshops.
You can hire a publicist for the project as well. For extra support and for one - three months. They can write a press release and put you forward in the media as an expert on the topic you have written on.
Congratulations, you've written a book. It's time to market. You can do it!
