We Are Hiring

As graduation approaches, I'm looking forward to the emails from candidates looking to land their first agency PR job. A solid résumé can help you rise to the top of the consideration. We’ve seen a lot of résumés. We want to cut to the chase, here are some helpful tips to get our attention.

Do Your Homework
Tailor a note to my company, understand the culture by following our company on social media sites.

Include a Simple Summary Statement
Tell us what your goal is and what direction you are going in. Where do you eventually see yourself?

Cover Letters
Brevity is best. Cover letters tell us you are able to write well. Send a cover note within the body of an email and not as an attachment. Make it easy for us.

Direct a Cover Note to me.
It only takes a few minutes to research who is in charge. Show me that you've done some scouting around.

Create an Online Portfolio
It's a plus but we won't ding you if you don't. That said, we’ve been impressed with candidates who have an online portfolio to showcase their capabilities. If you have a blog, make sure it’s updated.

Proofread
PLEASE. Nothing turns any employer off more than a cover letter with careless typos. To be successful in PR, mastery of the details is essential. Prove it with a typo-free cover letter and résumé.

Ensuring your résumé makes it to the consideration pile can be accomplished if you take the time to carefully approach each opportunity. After all, you only have one chance to make a first impression.
